Dust Off Your Cleaning Routine

No matter where you go online, another article is listing things you, the homemaker, can do to ensure some sort of perfect state of zen living. The good folks at Apartment Therapy make not only a good read, but good points. (Some may disagree on making the bed: in someone’s case it may be an aesthetic choice to keep things looking “lived-in” or just an aggravation if your pet likes to roll on it all day. But everything else is indisputable.)

Clean your kitchen. In apartments and houses both, they’re such central rooms — places to congregate, eat and be merry with your friends and family. When a day goes by and you see dishes start to pile up, it frazzles you. Clutter accumulates so quickly, it’s best to develop a routine to take care of it daily. Your kitchen will be your second-favorite room in no time.

The real goal, of course, is to touch up the room in which you spend the most time on your iPad, reading, playing games, and catching up on the latest news: your bathroom.
