BathGems has moved! We’re trading the sandy beaches of southern California for the beautiful mountains of Colorado, and we’re extremely excited about all the opportunities this change of scenery presents.
So, why’d we do it? Bath Gems was born in San Diego and we successfully grew our small online-only store into a major brand with 2 physical showrooms and unique furniture we designed ourselves. We can boast thousands of satisfied customers, and only a few hiccups along the way.
But we also offer free shipping on all orders across the country, and our physical inventory of luxury bathroom vanities continues to grow and grow. Our California warehouse, once huge in our eyes, was suddenly just too small – and San Diego is just too far away from New York, Florida, and other states where so many of our customers live.
Broomfield, Colorado (just 30 minutes north of downtown Denver, and 30 minutes south of Boulder) is the perfect place for our business. We moved into a truly enormous warehouse with plenty of room not just for a showroom floor, but for stocking as many vanities, vessel sinks, mirrors, and bathtubs as we want. And Colorado is centrally located in the United States, which means our friends and customers on the east coast have less time to wait before receiving their brand new bathroom furniture. Not to mention, our shipping costs will be that much less, and we can pass those savings in some small way on to our clients.
Colorado is not only a wonderful home for our business, but it’s a wonderful home for our staff, too. We’ll always love San Diego, but living in Colorado allows our employees to enjoy a lower cost of living (especially with no reduction to their existing salaries) without sacrificing their active, outgoing lifestyles. We hope this will make for happier, healthier employees, and happier, healthier customers – all this leads to a happier, healthier business.
